OverviewJ.P. Morgan Access clients that use RSA SecurID securitytokens now have a new software token option available that willenable users to generate a token code from an Apple iOS orAndroid mobile device using the RSA SecurID SoftwareToken App.Getting StartedCheck with your Security Administrator to make sure theyhave taken the necessary steps in AdministrationCredential Management to move you onto an RSASoftware Token, including validation of your correctMobile Phone Number in Credential Management. Youmust have a mobile number in your Access profile beforea software token is assigned to you. This will allow you toreceive an activation code to register the software token.Once your Security Administrator assigns you a softwaretoken, you will receive a text message with the softwaretoken activation code as well as a notification email, whichwill have the RSA Soft Token Registration instructions inan Adobe PDF format attached. Follow these instructionsto activate your soft token.If you are a new Access user, you will also receive anemail that will contain a temporary password andinstructions to set up a new password for your softwaretoken.Notes: Make sure you have a stable mobile phonecellular/data connection. An unstable connectionmay impact your Activation and Authenticationexperience. If you are a current user with a hardware token, youcan use either a hardware token or a softwaretoken; you cannot use both.2
Installing the AppWhen you import a software token into the RSA SecurIDSoftware Token app, you will be able to verify your identity,or authenticate, for Access with a one-time password ortoken code generated on your device.The token code screen in the app displays a six-digit codewhich you then enter along with your User ID andPassword on the J.P. Morgan Access Log On page.Apple iOS DevicesYou can either install the app directly onto your devicefrom the Apple App store, or launch the App store iniTunes , download the app to your computer, and thensync it onto your device.To install the app directly to your device:1. Open the App store on your device.2. Tap Search, and then enter the keywords RSASecurID Token.3. Select RSA SecurID Software Token, and then tapGet.4. If prompted, enter your Apple ID or iTunes accountcredentials.To install the app with iTunes:1. Connect your device to a USB port on your computer,and then launch the App store in iTunes.2. In the Search field, enter RSA SecurID Token, andthen download the app to your computer.3. If prompted, authenticate with your Apple ID oriTunes account credentials.4. Instruct iTunes to sync the app onto your deviceand apply the changes.To start the app, tap the Software Token app icon. The appwill prompt you to contact your administrator to request atoken. Android Devices:To install the app from Google Play :1. In your list of apps, tap the app store icon.2. Tap Search, and then enter RSA SecurID.3. Select RSA SecurID Software Token, and thentap Install or Get.4. Tap OK or Download to start the download.Notes: When the download is complete, a notificationicon appears in the status bar. The app is also listedin the notifications window.To start the app:1. In your app list, tap the Token icon.2. If your administrator sent you a software tokenwithout asking for your device ID, go to theImport Software Token section of this guide forinstructions.RSA SecurIDSoftware Token App4
Import a Software TokenUse your Mail app on your device to import a softwaretoken. Follow the RSA Soft Token Registrationinstructions provided by your Security Administrator toactivate and import your token.Apple iOS Devices1. Tap the Token app on your device to launch theapplication.2. From the Welcome screen, tap the icon.3. Do one of the following:a. Select Scan QR Code, and refer to theRegistration instructions pdf you received viaemail. Or,b. Select Enter Link to copy and paste the URLprovided in the email you received, and thentap Submit.Note: In some instances, you may need tomanually enter the correct URL if you do not havea company email app on your device or if yourdevice is not allowing copy and paste.4. On the Token Import screen, enter the activationcode you received via SMS on your device, andthen tap Done to complete the import of thetoken.5. Once successfully imported, a "Tokensuccessfully imported" acknowledgementmessage will display. Tap OK.Notes: The Activation Code is valid for only five days.Once the token is successfully imported, the sixdigit Token Code will display. When ready to logon to Access, enter this number in the TokenCode field in the Access Log On page.If you are entitled to Access Mobile, after an initiallog on using a desktop or laptop, you can copythe Token Code from the RSA app by clicking theCopy icon, and pasting into the Mobile app'sToken Code field.5Use
Android Devices1. Tap the Token app on your device to launchthe application.2. From the Welcome screen, select ImportToken.3. Do one of the following:a. Generate a Token Code from an AppleiOS Device to Authenticate Access1. Open Access and enter your User ID andPassword.2. On your device, start the Software Token appand then enter the code displayed on yourdevice, without spaces, in the Token Code fieldin the Access Log On page.Notes: If you have several software tokens on yourdevice and the active token is not your Accesstoken, go to the My Tokens screen to select yourAccess token. A countdown timer will indicate how manyseconds the displayed code will remain active. Ifthe code changes before you can enter it inAccess, enter the new code that displays tocomplete your log on. Sometimes you may need to enter the next tokencode to complete authentication to log on toAccess. (This may happen for different reasons,for example, you incorrectly entered your UserID, your Access password or the Token Code.)Return to the Token app on your device, and tapthe next code icon ( ) or swipe left to display thenext code.7
Generate a Token Code from an AndroidDevice to Authenticate Access1. Open Access and enter your User ID andPassword.2. On your device, start the Token app.3. If your token does not require a PIN, enter thecode that is displayed on your device in theToken Code field in Access.Notes: If you have several software tokens on yourdevice and the active token is not your Accesstoken, go to the Token List to select your Accesstoken. If the code displayed on your device changesbefore you can enter it in Access, enter that codeto complete your log on. Sometimes you may need to enter the next tokencode to complete authentication to log on toAccess. (This may happen for different reasons,for example, you incorrectly entered your UserID, your Access password or the Token Code.)Return to the Token app on your device, and tapNext Code.8
Rename a Software Token in the RSA SecurIDApp for iOS1. Tap the Menu icon.2. From the My Tokens screen that displays, tap Settings forthe token you want to rename.3. From the menu that displays, tap Rename Token.4. Edit the token name, and then tap Ok to save the new name.9
Download and Import the J.P. MorganAccess Soft Token When You AlreadyHave an Existing RSA Software TokenTap the RSA Software token app on your mobile deviceto launch the app.1. Tap the Menu icon to display the Token listscreen.2. From the Welcome screen, tap the icon (Appledevice) or Import Token (Android device).3. Select either Scan QR Code or Enter Link. Forthis example, we chose Enter Link.4. Copy the URL from the RSA Soft TokenRegistration instructions provided by yourSecurity Administrator and paste it into the importtoken field on the next screen. Or you canmanually enter the URL into the import tokenfield. Tap Submit (or Import for Android).Note: Be sure to copy the correct URL for yourmobile device – iOS, or Android.5. On the next screen, enter your activation code tocomplete the import of the token.6. Once successfully imported, a "Tokensuccessfully imported." acknowledgementmessage will display. Tap OK.Notes: Once the token is successfully imported, the sixdigit Token Code will display. When you areready to log on to Access, enter this number inthe Token Code field in the Access Log On page.If you are entitled to Access Mobile, after aninitial log on using a desktop or laptop, you cancopy the Token Code from the RSA app byclicking the Copy icon, and pasting it into theMobile app's Token Code field.10
Toggle between the Access SoftwareToken and Another Company’s SoftwareToken,1. From the J.P. Morgan Access (JPMA) Soft Tokenscreen, tap the menu option.2. From the My Tokens screen on an Apple deviceor the Tokens list screen on Android device, tapthe soft token you want to display; enter thetoken code accordingly.11
View the Serial Number of the SoftwareToken on Your Mobile Device1. Tap information icon on the J.P. Morgan Access(JPMA) Soft Token Code screen.2. The serial number, along with additionalinformation, will display.12
